Teaching steps : Step 1 Warm-up/ Review

1. Greetings : Hi , …. Nice to see you again .

Ss : Nice to see you , too . Greet everybody in class .

2. Revise the time by showing some cards to the Ss :

What time is it ? It’s seven thirty.

Step 2 Learn to say

1. The teacher shows a card to the Ss and says : What time is it ? It’s seven thirty.Oh,we must hurry.

2. Show Picture 2 to the Ss & ask : What is it? It’s a bus. What are they doing ? & Why ?

The bus is coming.They’re going to school by bus.

3 . Learn to say : Look, The bus is coming.Let’s go by bus.All right. Step 3 Practice

1. Ask the Ss to look and say with the teacher

2. Divide the Ss into two groups to act out the two dialogs 3. Ask two Ss to act out the dialogs for some times . Step 4 Look and say

The first lesson, the Ss are very happy. They are also interested in the subject. I think it’s useful. In class, I introduce myself in English and explain in Chinese. Let the Ss try to introduce themselves. I tell them that it’s important for us to study English well in the future. And we must study harder, too.

Lesson 2

Teaching aims and demands :

1.To demand Ss to hear and speak and read these words correctly : tomorrow , plane , train , faster

2. To demand Ss to hear and speak the sentences correctly : 3.I’m going to Beijing tomorrow . Are you going by train?No.By plane.That’s faster.

Teaching materials : tape recorder ; some cards

Teaching steps : Step 1 Warm-up/ Review

1.Show the cards to the Ss to revise the words : By bus/by bike/by foot/by motorcycle /by car/by taxi

2.Ask the Ss in pairs to act out the dialogs in P1-4 Step 2 Learn to say

1.Show Picture 1 to the Ss and ask : Where are they ? (at home )

Where is Wang Tao’s Dad going to tomorrow?(Beijing ) 2.Show Picture 2 to the Ss and ask:

Is he going by train? No.By plane.That’s faster.Yeah. 3.Play the tape for the Ss to listen for two times . 4.Listen to the tape & repeat for some times . 5.Ask the Ss to look and say with the teacher

The second lesson, the Ss still are exciting. In class there are listening, speaking, reading, writing, singing and drawing skills. The students are very happy. I think that it’s great.

Unit 2 Days of the week

Lesson 3

Teaching aims： Knowledge aim：

Enable the Ss to grasp the words :Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The sentences:On Sunday / Monday/… I do sth. Ability aim：

Talk about the seven days of the week and sing this song: There are seven days.

Emotion aim：Improve the Ss’ abilities of communication and cooperation.

Main points:

Foster the Ss’ asking and answering abilities. Difficult points:

Understand the meaning of “Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday” .Use them correctly. Teaching materials: tape recorder, pictures, cards .

1.Greetings:

Good morning ,class. Glad to meet you . How do you come to school?… How does he / she come to school?…

2.Say the rhyme: 一年有四季，春夏秋冬要分清。Spring, Spring, 春天到,百花开，鸟儿叫。Summer, Summer , 夏天到，炎炎的烈日当头照。 Fall, Fall, 秋天到，红红的苹果点头笑。Winter, Winter, 冬天到，北风吹，雪花飘。 Step 2 Presentation

1. Show Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday cards to the Ss & ask :

What are they ? They are days of the week. They are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday . Let the Ss listen and repeat several times.

1).Let the Ss talk about what subject they like best? They can say in English or in Chinese . Help the Ss say the subjects in English.

2).Present the new words : math , science, ME, PE, art etc. Let the Ss listen and repeat. Step 3 Consolidation.

Make a schedule: Use this dialogue to finish the schedule.

T: Do you have a music class on Monday ? Ss: Yes , I do. / No , I don’t.

Then let the Ss ask and answer in groups. After the Ss finish the schedules, choose some good schedules to put on the blackboard.
